Hey there, friends! Back in July and August of 2020, a group of sleep specialists got together to check out how the COVID-19 pandemic was affecting sleep practices and facilities. They wanted to know how the industry was holding up during those crazy times. Fast forward to late 2020, and they followed up with another survey to see how things had changed. They even conducted a third one in April 2021 to keep tabs on the ongoing situation.
If you’re curious about the findings, you can download the results from those surveys. They’ve put together some slides for each one, and there’s even a special article in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine that highlights the key points from the first survey.
Want to dive deeper? Check out the recordings from the live webinars hosted by Dr. Sam Thompson, who discussed the results and other COVID-19-related issues in sleep medicine. The sessions included a moderated Q&A with expert panelists and can provide you with some valuable insights. You can watch the discussions on the COVID-19 & Sleep Medicine Update from January 19, 2021, and the COVID-19 & Sleep Medicine session from September 10, 2020.
