Joining the Community
To get started, head over to our community page. Just sign in with your member credentials at the top right corner, and you’re all set!
Personalizing Your Profile
Once you’re in, click on your profile icon. We’ve already filled in some of your details from your account. Here’s how you can spruce it up:
- Upload a photo: Let everyone see your smiling face!
- Add your bio: Include your education, job history, honors, and any professional memberships.
Navigating Your Profile
Here’s a quick breakdown of your profile tabs:
- My Connections: See your contacts, community groups, and the content you’re following.
- My Contributions: Check out your community engagement overview, achievements, and a list of what you’ve shared.
- My Account: Manage your privacy settings, email preferences, and more.
- My Inbox: Keep track of messages, contact requests, and community invitations.
Privacy and Email Settings
In the “My Account” tab, you can control who sees your profile info. Choose visibility options such as “Your contacts,” “Members only,” or “Public.” For email preferences, make sure you adjust your participation emails to receive updates directly in your inbox.
Adding Contacts
Want to connect with others? You can easily add contacts. Just search in the Directory and click the “Add as Contact” button next to their name. You can also send a message by clicking on the profile image of the person you want to connect with.
Community Groups
To explore the groups you’re part of, click on “My Communities.” Here’s what you can do:
- Reply to Discussions: Click on a message title and hit “Reply.”
- Start a New Discussion: Just click the “Add” button and select the community for your post.
- Use the Document Library: Browse through and sort posted documents in the Library sub-tab. If you’ve got something to share, you can attach it while posting a new message.
