Hey there! Have you taken a moment to check out the resources we’ve put together? We have a handy collection of frequently asked questions and Fact Sheets covering the Standards for Accreditation and the whole Accreditation Process and Policies. You can find these FAQs on our Resources page; they’re super helpful for getting answers to most accreditation-related questions.

If you need to update any details about your accredited service, just head over to our Program Changes webpage for all the info you’ll need.

Still curious or have questions? No problem! Our Accreditation Department is here to help, so feel free to reach out for more information.

Appeals Process

If your accreditation gets denied or revoked, you have the right to appeal. Remember, accreditation can be denied or revoked for several reasons, like an incomplete application or if there’s a site visit failure.

To start the appeal process, here’s what you need to know:

  1. You’ll be notified by mail if your accreditation is denied or revoked.
  2. You’ll need to submit a written appeal within 30 days along with a non-refundable appeal fee, and the Board of Directors will review it.
  3. They’ll get back to you within eight weeks with their decision. Just a heads up, any costs related to the appeal are on you.

Make sure to check out the full Accreditation Process and Policies for detailed info about the appeal process.

Complaints

We also have a way for patients, competitors, and employees to file complaints related to the Standards for Accreditation or our policies. While we can review complaints, we don’t have the power to investigate licensed physicians or their staff. Each complaint is looked at individually, which could lead to actions like rescinding or revoking accreditation.

Also, if you’re an employee and see something that doesn’t sit right, you should feel safe reporting it. We take those reports seriously and won’t tolerate retaliation against anyone for speaking up.

Financial Assistance

If you’re facing financial hardship and need help with accreditation fees, you might qualify for a discount. Just fill out the Circumstance Accreditation Financial Assistance Application, which asks for some basic info about your program and why you need assistance.

Disaster Relief

Have you been hit by a natural disaster? If so, you might be eligible for financial assistance through our Disaster Relief Fund.
